The Hague is not only beautiful streets of shopping and museums, but we have also many amazing and beautiful parks all over the City where you can enjoy a sunny afternoon.
The Paleistuin: the royal garden
Lying on the back of Paleis Noordereinde, The Paleistuin are really in the heart of The Hague, in one of the most beautiful neighborhood, the Hofkwartier.
This is personally my favorite garden in the city, for its cozy and hippie atmosphere (there is also a labyrinth in the garden where you can walk through), and I love to enjoy it when the sun is shining, reading a book, listening to some good music, doing some yoga on Sunday morning.

Located in the beautiful Scheveningen, surrounded by water and with a fancy Asian restaurant and a beautiful rose garden, Westbroekpark is for sure a must see in The Hague.
The Westbroekpark is the perfect escape on a Sunday morning during springtime, where kids can enjoy in the big playground and adults relax in the sun.
For some romantic quality time, or just to have some fun with friends, you can rent a boat from April till September at de Waterkant, or simply enjoy an afternoon high tea overlooking the canal.
This park is also the place where some big summer events take places, such as the festival De Parade: about 2 weeks of shows, madness, food, and hippies in the middle of the park!
In Westbroekpark is also allowed to di BBQ, so don’t be a surprise to see so many people enjoying sunny days in summer!
Kapelweg 35, 2587 BK The Hague
The biggest park of the cit is not only a beautiful park where you can have a BBQ with friends, but the zuiderpark often hosts some big events such as the Milan festival or Parkpop, the biggest pop event in the Netherlands.
A petting zoo, some tea house, a stadium, swimming pool, swans, and deer are just a few of the things that you can find in this beautiful garden of The Hague.

the clingendael estate and Japanese garden
This is not really a park like the ones listed before, is a big estate with a 17th-century house and a beautiful garden and forests, located between Wassenaar and The Hague.
In the heart of this property, you can find the peaceful and beautiful Janapese Garden, which is accessible only few weeks a year due to its vulnerability.
Also in the Clingendael, you can find a delicious tea house, a playground for kids and a honey farmer.
The opening weeks of the Japanese Garden for 2018 are:
- Spring 2018: from 28 April to 10 June.
- Autumn 2018: from 13 October to 28 October.
